So how long will this hold my interest...

Well hello. I am truly new to the world'o'blog, seeing as I've never even READ one until now! I know...step into the 90's girl. It's ok, I accept my technological shortcomings. So after reading my bff's new blog (lhejtmanek.blogspot.com), I am taking the plunge.
Step 1) think of something interesting to say.....hmmm. I know what's interesting to ME, but what might interest the rest of the English-speaking world (besides porn, of course...and I have yet to figure out how to upload videos to this so you're s.o.l....for now! hee hee)? I suppose a little about me? OK cyber-stalkers take notes: Currently attempting to put my decade-old fine arts degree to good use by working my booty off making new paintings and drawings to sell either off my website, http://www.shelliethies.artspan.com/, (I know I said I was technologically disabled, however even a blind mouse will find the cheese sometimes), or Saturdays under the bridge at the Riverside Arts Market. I've just recently finished applying to be able to participate in RAM so hopefully I'm not counting my chickens by saying that. In the unlikely event that they reject my application, I will be across the street from RAM in the parking lot demonstrating my first amendment right to free speech by waving hate-signs and screaming obscenities at whomever will listen to me. Not really. But I will be peeved.
Also notable about my life is the fact that I have recently started volunteering at the City Rescue Mission, aka the local homeless shelter. I actually have wanted to do something like this for years, but only recently have stopped procrastinating and gotten the preliminaries completed on that. I was surprised at how involved the process was! The aapplication process (yes, application process to work for free) took 7 weeks, they actually CHECKED my references (that's more than I can say for the last job I had) and there's even an interview! But whatever, I'm excited to finally be helping out the community at least a little bit.
Hmmm...so I realize upon sitting here typing this that I am way more interesting that I thought. So far. Or maybe I'm just like the other 7 billion people in the world who think that THEY are the absolute most interesting thing on the planet. I believe that's called "hubris". Oh well. At least my latin is awesome. (see what I did there?)

Anyhoo...Im certainly not out of things to say yet (see above), but I'm running out of time on the library's computer (see next post) so I'm tatah for now.

xoxoxo
